Do you understand the difference between natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG)? Do you find the number of proposed LNG projects — especially pipelines — in northern British Columbia confusing? Are you interested in learning more?
The LNG Conversation is a video that tells the story of the Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project and how its project team has been engaging, since 2012, with Canada’s British Columbia communities along the proposed route.
The LNG Conversation was produced during a Coastal GasLink roadshow, in the fall of 2014, and features events held in Smithers, Moricetown, Burns Lake and Vanderhoof.
The story follows Pepita Elena, Aboriginal Relations Lead, as she and the rest of the Coastal GasLink team engage in conversations with northern B.C. residents about the proposed pipeline, natural gas and LNG.
The video also features Erik Neandross, an LNG expert who shares his knowledge of liquefied natural gas – its properties, how it behaves when released into the air and how the gas is converted to liquid.
The LNG Conversation ensures viewers have the information they need to come to their own conclusions about B.C.’s emerging LNG industry and the benefits Coastal GasLink will bring to British Columbia.
